CHAPTER 4

Gucci Mane’s Trap House was pumping throughout Sean’s Temple Hills, MD, apartment. He was sitting on his bed counting stacks of money. Nine rows of cash in one-thousand-dollar stacks, wrapped in rubber-bands, sat on the floor in front of him. He was counting his stash. He had a fresh $10,000 to add to his stash now. Minutes earlier he’d met a dude at the Shell gas station down the street from his apartment to pick up the first half of the money he was supposed to be paid for a mission he’d agreed to. Now all he had to do was see the mission through. It was nothing to it but to do it, no matter how he would feel when it was done.

Sean had learned how to block things out of his mind a long time ago. When he was 17 he smoked his mother’s boyfriend for smacking her. He had grown close to the boyfriend in a twenty-four month period but when it was time to knock his brains loose Sean didn’t think twice about it. He laid in the darkness behind his mother’s apartment and caught the boyfriend taking the trash out late at night. Sean shot him in the head five times at point blank range. He got away with the move and never let anyone know he did it. Even his mother had no idea why her boyfriend was murdered. She had forgiven the boyfriend for smacking her days before he was murdered. Needless to say, Sean could keep a secret and block some things out of his mind once he set his mind to something.

A short while later, Sean had all of his money in one-thousand-dollar stacks on his bed. Altogether, he was sitting on $67,000. It wasn’t enough to live off, but it was something nice to have put up. He threw it all in a gym bag and put it in his closet. Pulling a shoe box off the top shelf, Sean walked back to his bed and took a seat. He pulled a black Glock .45 out of the shoe box. Admiring it, he turned it from side to side in his hand. Also in the shoe box was two 30-shot clips. He popped one clip in the Glock and slid the other in his pocket. There was no time for games, one wrong move and he would be the one in the box.
